The story of Les Parfums de Rosine began in the early 20th century. Elegant women and experienced perfumer, Marie-Hélène Rogeon, revived the brand in 1991 to create original, unique and beautiful creations made from natural essences that center around the scent of roses. Being fascinated and inspired by them, she introduces the rose scent in magnificent and surprising compositions.

Parfums de Rosine was founded by Paul Poiret in 1911. He named the fragrance house after his own daughter. Fragrances of the house enjoyed great popularity, but the house didn't survive the Great Depression. Marie-Hélène Rogeon re-opened the house in 1991. She was born into a family of perfumer, her great-grandfather Louis Panafieu worked with Paul Poiret and he was creating Eau de Cologne for the Emperor Napoleon III and a famous Pommade des Mousquetaires.

Her fascination with perfumes and perfume bottles started when she was a young girl. Very early, she has been fascinated by this world of exquisite bottles, fragrances, flowery labels and silk braid trimmings.

In the great houses of perfume where she led her professional carrier, she realized the importance of perfume in her life. This rich experience drove her to the re-opening the house Les Parfums de Rosine. Just at a period when women started to get tired of commercial perfumery and started to look for real creations and perfumes telling real stories.

Passion for roses

The two main passions of Marie-Hélène Rogeon are perfumes and… roses.
They are all so different; shy or proud, voluptuous or tender, with multiple shapes and colours, and the infinite variety of perfumes.

For Marie-Hélène Rogeon, as a perfumer, „Rose Essence” and „Rose Absolue” are the quintessence of all the great perfumes. She built a collection of rose perfumes, all different, from the fresher „Un Zest de Rose” to the more sensuous „Une Folie de Rose”. Collection that is unique and bewitching.

Ability and quality meets beauty

The main concern of Marie-Hélène Rogeon is to propose beautiful creations, all based on natural essences, and which are immediately understandable and readable.
Every component can be recognized all along the evolution of the perfume on the skin.

Marie-Hélène Rogeon is also very careful about the presentation and focuses on beautiful and appealing packaging as well.  All the bottles are nicely wrapped in coloured tissue paper before being place in the folding boxes and every bottle wears a charming silky tassel.
